Consultant Obstetrician and GynaecologistLincoln and Grantham, as well as smaller peripheral sites. The Departments are very busy and work in a friendly and high-pressure environment. There are elective and emergency admissions on a daily basis and targets to adhere to. There is support from the Clinical Directors for new developments and new business opportunities. The services are led by the Clinical Directors.Main duties of the jobWomen's services has 3 specialties, Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Breast Services. The service is delivered over the 4 main sites; Pilgrim, Louth.   • Full GMC registration.
  • MRCOG or equivalent.
  • CCST or equivalent.
  • ATSM in Advanced labour ward practice.
  • ATSM in Hysteroscopic surgery.Clinical experience and effectiveness
    • Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required for a UK CCST.
    • Experienced in leading MDT process.
    • Must be proficient in obstetrics and Labour ward.
    • Must be proficient in managing acute gynaecology and early pregnancy problems.
    • Participate in risk management / Multi-professional drills.Management and administrative experience
      • Experience in developing clinical guidelines, policies and care pathways.
      • Evidence of management, administration and audit experience.Teaching and training experience
        • Experience of supervising junior medical staff.
        • Certification in Medical education.Personal attributes
          • Motivation and enthusiasm to drive change and service transformation.
          • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs, nurses and other agencies.
          • Team player with enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure.
          • Good organisational and management skills.
          • Resident within 10 miles or 30 minutes of the hospital.
