Position Summary

Our factory in Crete, Nebraska stands as one of the largest manufacturers in the area and one of the largest wet pet food manufacturing facilities in the U.S. Together, we proudly produce over one thousand tons of pet food per day, including renowned brands such as Alpo -, Nestl-- Purina ONE -, Pro Plan -, Friskies -, and Nestl-- Purina Veterinary Diets -. We also proudly do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. Situated just 25 miles from the factory, the city of Lincoln offers convenience to many of our associates who prefer the amenities of larger city living. They embrace the short commute from Lincoln to the quainter city of Crete, where our factory thrives.

As a Training Specialist, you'll partner with the Education & Training Manager on various projects and initiatives to drive knowledge and skill development to deliver business results. We'll count on you to design, develop, and deliver training solutions with an emphasis on our 10-20-70 learning model, as well as the facilitation of factory training programs.

Schedule and facilitate New Hire Orientation (NHO) within the factory.
Create and update training documentation leveraging relevant instructional design methodologies.
Maintain training qualifications and progression plans for all hourly employees.
Assign and track user training in learning management system.
Partner with employees at all levels to assess and analyze learning needs based on performance and needs assessment data.
Incorporate new digital solutions and leverage existing digital tools and systems to improve and streamline training processes across all shifts.
Actively engage in and support Total Performance Management (TPM) implementation and progression in the factory

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a related field AND 1+ year of training experience within manufacturing, industrial or related environment

OR

High School or GED AND 2+ years of training experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment

Bilingual in Spanish (including reading, writing, and speaking), required

The approximate pay range for this position is $59,000 to $90,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
