The Board wishes to have a successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position on July 1, 2025.McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the Board of Education in identifying and screening the candidates.Location: -Corner of Northwest Arkansas in Madison CountyThe QualificationsThe candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership. The Board recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of the most important decisions it will make.The Huntsville School District Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent:

• Who has a proven performance as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with 5 or more years' experience preferred.
• Who has experience and knowledge in curriculum/ instruction including career and technical education and can lead a team to create the expectation of high performance from all staff and students.
• Who has integrity, integrates and resides within the district, displays an ownership of the communities within the district, creates cohesiveness/unity within the district, is visible in the schools, and is supportive of the extra-curricular programs throughout the district.
• Who has "common sense" and the people skills to communicate, listen, display compassion, is open minded, and transparent in how they lead the district.
• Who has an understanding of school finance, is strategic in making decisions impacting the district, follows through on issues and is a "Get it Done" type person.Search Timeline:
