  • Great facility in eastern Nebraska is looking for a CVOR tech for a travel assignment.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must graduate from an accredited school.
    • Must have experience scrubbing vascular cases, heart cases, and thoracic cases.
    • Does not cover sterile processing.
      • Schedule Information
      • Scheduling is done by CVOR coordinator, usually have the same day off each week or adjusted based on census - 4-10 hour shifts
      • Call is typically 1 day a week, starts at 5pm-7am
      • Call is typically 1 weekend a month
      • No holiday call requirements as a traveler but will allow them to pick up if desired
      • Call response time is 30 minutes in the OR dressed and ready to go
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # Suites: 2 dedicated heart rooms / 1 Hybrid suite and 1-2 open surgical rooms for various cases
        • Average # of cases per day: varied Vascular/thoracic and heart cases scheduled each day throughout the week
        • Common Cases: CABG/Valve replacement/Carotid Endarterectomy/Fem-pop bypass/Angios/thoracotomy
        • Is there a Charge Nurse/House Supervisor on each shift? Charge nurse/CVOR Coordinator and house supervisor available every day
        • Floating Requirements: may have to float to Main OR if CVOR census low (this is rare)
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code: scrubs provided by Methodist Hospital on arrival
        • Unit/Department specific orientation: Orient with other CVOR surgical tech for a few days

          • BLS; Will accept LOCAL Placements
          • Team approach. Extend travelers. Very traveler friendly facility. Looking for someone that can go with the flow, jump in and be a team player when needed. Someone flexible and willing to pick up call as needed;4x10 hour days plus call
