Job Description:
A company is looking for a Funding Specialist responsible for
preparing and submitting funding requests for claims incurred by
covered members of the group health plan.
Key Responsibilities
Communicate with other departments to resolve funding issues and
appeal claim denials
Assemble and submit funding request information and release
payments to providers
Monitor and record financial transactions, including processing
claims payments and depositing checks
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
1-2 years' experience in a financial-based role
Intermediate level experience with MS Office Suite, particularly
Excel
MS Access background preferred
Prior experience in healthcare preferred
