Job Description:
A company is looking for a Scientific Applications Programmer II
to develop and maintain software solutions for the National Data
Buoy Center.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with team members to implement maintainable software
code that meets customer requirements
Gather and clarify requirements from stakeholders and demonstrate
progress through working software
Test application software in cooperation with end users to ensure
accuracy and integrity
Required Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering,
Information Systems, or Mathematics preferred
4+ years of experience in converting technical problem formulations
into software applications
Demonstrated experience with industry standard software design and
development practices
Good working knowledge of Java, PHP, C/C++, SQL, XML, and HTML
preferred
Experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and Tomcat
development is desired
