Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required to submit Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: BSN Required Job Description: - Department: Medical Surgical - Beds: 42 - Staff-to-Patient Ratios: 1:5-6, with a 1:6 ratio at least once a week - Common Patient Diagnoses: Medical, surgical, and orthopedics - Charge Nurse on Shift: Yes, charge nurse does take an assignment - Titratable Drips: None, except Heparin - Respiratory Therapy (RT) Availability: 24-hour RT on the floor - Telemetry: Monitoring available on the floor with centralized tele station - Patient Care Support: Nurse aides/patient care techs available with a ratio of 1:10-12 - Shifts and Scheduling: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM - Weekend and Holiday Requirements: As needed - Floating Requirements: May be required to float to PCU or Burn unit - Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs - Orientation: First week in the classroom followed by two 12-hour shifts on the floor - Charting System: EPIC Please note the cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be cancelled during a 13-week assignment, and 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks. The radius rule is 50 miles, and candidates cannot have employment with any associated facilities.
