Certification Requirements:
The ideal candidate will hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, and HSS Team (workplace violence training).

Job Details:
CHI Health Midlands is seeking an experienced ER RN to join our team. This 36 hour contract position requires a minimum of 2 years of ED experience. The role includes working 12 hour shifts, with times including 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, and 7p-7a. Every other weekend and holiday requirements apply.

Unit Information:
Our emergency department is a certified stroke center, with 21 beds and a 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio. We see a variety of cases, including chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, sepsis, and stroke. The charge nurse is on each shift and takes an assignment. Attributes that help a nurse be successful in this unit include being kind and compassionate, teamwork, high energy, compassion, positivity, and a can-do attitude.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be willing to cross train to cover charge occasionally. RTO is needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions. The radius rule applies, with a 50 mile radius and no full-time, part-time, or PRN employment with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
