  • A hospital in Eastern Nebraska is looking for ER RN's with a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.
  • The role includes a 36 hour contract.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum of 2 years of ED experience required.
    • Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC, HSS Team (workplace violence training).
    • Looking for staff that would be willing to cross train to cover charge occasionally.
    • It is not a heavy volume department on the night shift.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts & Scheduling: 12 hour shifts, times include 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a.
      • Weekend Requirements: Every other.
      • Holiday Requirements: Yes.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: all ages, chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, sepsis, stroke.
        • Common drips: Antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, vaccines, emergency medications.
        • Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes.
          • Additional Details
          • Certified stroke center.
          • Number of Beds/Trauma Bays: 21.
          • Ratios: 1:4.
          • Attributes that help a nurse be successful in this unit include being kind and compassionate, teamwork, high energy, compassion, positivity, and a can-do attitude.
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
