  • Job Details
  • Operating Room RN - Day shift with possible night shift rotation
  • There is a possibility for off-shifting (1-3 shifts in a week) once every 4-week scheduling period, but there are a lot of times there is no off-shifting
  • Weeknight call requirements: 1-2 nights/week on average
  • Weekend call requirements: Approx. every 4-5 weeks (24 hours Saturday OR Sunday, 1-2 days/month)
  • Block schedule CANNOT be accommodated
  • Experience with a majority following cases is required: Lap chole, Lap appy, Ex lap, I&D, Bariatric, Colorectal, PEG & Trach, DaVinci cases
  • DaVinci experience highly preferred
  • Oncology, Ortho, Neuro experience HIGHLY preferred
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of OR RN experience required
    • BLS required
    • First time travelers NOT accepted
      • Schedule Information
      • Bi-Weekly Orientation
      • Day shift with possible night shift rotation
      • Off-shifting once every 4-week scheduling period
      • Weeknight call: 1-2 nights/week
      • Weekend call: Approx. every 4-5 weeks
        • Additional Details
        • Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)
        • Parking: Professionals can obtain a parking permit (cost varies) or use daily rate parking
        • Call-Back & Extended Shifts: Call-back rate is paid if a traveler is on-call offsite and is called back to the facility after their shift. Regular rate until overtime for extended shifts
        • Travelers are not paid the same as Core staff members at Nebraska Medicine
