  • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for a Med/Surg RN.
  • Need a Iowa or compact license.
  • 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.
  • 1 years of unit experience.
  • Contract is 13 weeks.

      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts.
      • 36 hours guaranteed.
      • Shifts: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 / Self-scheduling.
      • Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend- Friday and Saturday are considered the weekend for nights.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Department: Med Surg / Ortho.
        • Common diagnoses/Types of patients include: Total knees, hips, shoulder replacements, COPD, diabetes, wounds, and other conditions.
        • Patient care techs on unit with a ratio of 1:10.
        • No requirement for RNs to titrate drips.
        • Charge Nurse and care team support available.
        • Orientation includes classroom sessions and 1-12 hour shift on unit.
          • Additional Details
          • Unit focuses on hourly rounding and bedside shift report.
          • Looking for candidates who like change and want to learn.
          • Travelers need to be flexible and self-directed.
          • Primary patient population is Caucasian, low to middle class.
          • We do have patients who are homeless and have mental health and/or addiction history.
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
