• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
  • Job Details
  • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for a night ICU RN.
  • 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.
  • 2 years of unit experience.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of unit experience.
    • Experience with COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, neuro.
    • RNs are required to titrate drips.
    • Common titratable &/or set rate drips include: Vasopressors, Insulin, TNK, Heparin, IV Antibiotics, Sedatives.
    • RN must read and interpret tele/monitor techs.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts, 0630-1900 or 1830-0700.
      • Every other weekend required.
      • Holiday requirements vary, based on unit needs.
      • Floating to PCU and Medical floors as needed.
      • Schedule is done by unit scheduler.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:2 for ICU, medical patients at 1:5 and PCU at 1:4.
        • RT Equipment: RNs troubleshoot Vents, BiPAPs.
        • Orientation: First week system orientation and onboarding, 1-2 12 hour shifts of unit orientation.
          • Additional Details
          • Charge nurse present on each shift, takes assignments.
          • Nurse aids/patient care techs on unit, ratios vary with patient load.
          • 24/7 critical care coverage.
          • Navy Blue scrub color/dress code.
          • Tele/Monitor techs on unit, RNs required to read own strips.
