Job SummaryThe Application Engineer provides pneumatic conveying solutions to new and existing customers. Works closely with Business Development managers to fully understand customer opportunities to be able to design, engineer, and quote pneumatic conveying solutions which fits the needs of the client. The position also frequently interfaces with our outside independent reps teams providing technical advice to reps in the field. The Application Engineer has a strong understanding of the entire range of company products and services to our customers. The Application Engineer also has responsibility for helping in Cyclonaire's Test Lab facility. Working knowledge of bench scale testing of materials and full scale customer trials to determine rates and convey methods is a must.This role will be able to carry out its functions in accordance with Cyclonaire's Core Values.       • Other duties as assigned.Competencies: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, are required to express technical and non-technical concepts clearly and concisely. Technical skills required to create proposals and find solutions to meet client requirements, such as using software programs. Excellent organizational skills are required to meet goals and set priorities. Must be able to work in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Teams, QuoteWerks, PneuCalc and ESynergy CRM Education / Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field is required. Physical Demands: Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting and standing. Talking, hearing, and repetitive motions are required. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Work requires constant visual ability. Work Environment: Remote home office. Clean and climate-controlled office environment in a manufacturing facility while on site. Travel Requirements: Travel may be required up to 10% of the time. Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that permits the use of company automobiles.Safety: Safety shoes (steel or composite toe), safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, Hard Hat, and other forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required in designated areas at the facility.Other Duties: Safe work performance is always required from each employee. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required to wear or use PPE as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions. Understanding and adhering to Cyclonaire Core Values is required.
